MizMedi Hospital was founded by the late Roh GyungByung using
his private fortune, who founded Jeil Hospital in 1963 and served as its
chairman.
Dr. Roh wished MizMedi Hospital to continuously provide quality medical
service to help women and babies lead a healthy life, improve medical
techniques and pass the new medical knowledge and techniques to the
next generations.
Founded in 1991 and 2000, respectively, Gangnam MizMedi and Gangseo
hospitals have been providing quality obstetrics and gynecology services
for three generations.

MizMedi Hospital is the first general hospital in Gangseo-gu and the only specialized OB/GYN hospital in the western Seoul area. It is a hospital specializing in women's health for all age groups, ranging from pregnancy and childbirth to menopausal disorders, featuring centers such as the Delivery Center, Infertility Treatment Center, Robotic Surgery Center, Breast Center, and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center.
It has received accreditation as a specialized OB/GYN hospital for four consecutive cycles and as a general hospital for three consecutive cycles. Furthermore, it has received objective recognition for its patient safety assurance and the quality of its medical services, achieving Grade 1 ratings in the Infertility Treatment Medical Institution Evaluation, Anesthesia Appropriateness Evaluation, and Surgery Prophylactic Antibiotic Use Evaluation, as well as ranking 4th nationwide and 1st in Seoul for overall satisfaction in the Patient Experience Evaluation.
MizMedi Hospital began in 1991 as Yeongdong Jeil Hospital in Gangnam, Seoul, with a staff of just over 20. It subsequently opened Gangnam MizMedi Hospital in 1993 and MizMedi Hospital in 2000. As of 2023, the MizMedi Hospital located in Gangseo-gu is the only one of its kind. Based on our founding philosophy of being a "hospital that satisfies patients, satisfies staff, and contributes to society and the nation," we treat every single patient visiting us like family.
